I spent a lot of my childhood on Nicole’s family farm, Thornkloof. It’s just outside of Grahamstown, and is the epitome of raw Eastern Cape beauty.

In December 2016, one of my childhood friends was married in the town we grew up in - Grahamstown. It was a typical overcast day, and their wedding was a wonderful celebration.

The most beautiful wedding of them all! My sister and brother-in-law, Dominique and Roger had their wedding celebration weekend on the magnificent Eastern Cape coastline, at Cintsa.

Nicola and Carl had their wedding at Silvermist Mountain Lodge and Wine Estate in April, on a perfect Autumn afternoon.

Caitlin and Nick’s wedding was a delightful daytime affair, with afternoon tea and all. It took place at the beautiful Bridge House school in Franschhoek, where Morag, Caitlin’s sister works.

When Claire contacted me to photograph her wedding in Zambia, I jumped at the chance.
